Gamerie — Minors & Age-Gate Policy

1. Our approach to younger players
Gamerie cares deeply about the safety of younger members of the gaming community. Because competitive gaming attracts players of all ages, we apply specific protections for users under 18. This policy explains our age requirements, how we protect younger users on the Platform, and the strict limits we place on their participation in paid activities and their data.
2. Minimum age and age-gating

The minimum age to create a Gamerie account is 16 years, or the minimum age required by law in your country if higher.

During sign-up, we ask every user for their date of birth and apply an age gate. Users below the applicable threshold cannot create a standard account.

Users who are under 16 will see the following message: “You must be 16 or older to create a Gamerie account. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us at privacy@gamerie.gg.”

Where local law permits younger users with verifiable parental consent, we route those sign-ups through a parental consent flow before any account is created or any data is collected.
3. What users under 18 can and cannot do
For any user we know or reasonably believe to be a minor (under 18):
Not permitted:

Paying entry fees to tournaments

Receiving monetary prizes directly through the Platform

Being included in any aggregated, de-identified, or third-party data product
-
Having their data shared with any external party — including, without exception, any betting, wagering, odds, or integrity-related service
Permitted (with restrictions):

Creating a profile and participating in free-entry competitive events

Building a verified competitive record
-
Where applicable, receiving prizes through a verified parent or guardian’s account, subject to legal confirmation in the relevant market
4. Parental consent and parental rights
Where we process a minor’s data with parental consent, a parent or guardian may at any time:

Request access to the data we hold about their child

Request correction of inaccurate data

Request deletion of their child’s data

Withdraw consent for data processing

5. Payments, prizes, and KYC
All monetary payouts on the Platform are processed by Stripe Connect. Stripe’s own identity verification (KYC) requirements apply to all recipients of payments, providing an additional layer of protection that ensures funds are only disbursed to verified, eligible recipients.
6. Data protection for minors

We minimise the data we collect from users who are minors.

We apply stricter privacy defaults to minor accounts.

We never include data from minor accounts in any aggregated dataset, data product, or third-party sharing arrangement.

We never share minor data with betting, wagering, odds, scouting, or integrity services.

These protections are absolute and apply regardless of any other provision of our Privacy Policy.
7. If we discover an underage account
If we learn that we have collected data from a child below the applicable age without the required consent, we will:

Immediately suspend the account

Delete all personal data associated with the account

Notify the relevant parent or guardian where possible

Act consistently with applicable law including GDPR, COPPA, and local equivalents
8. Reporting a safety concern
To report any safety concern involving a minor on the Platform, contact us immediately at: safety@gamerie.gg
We treat all such reports as urgent and will respond as a priority.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. We will notify users of material changes where required by law.
